Jane Horvath, Chief Privacy Officer, U.S. Department of Justice and Hugo Teufel, Chief Privacy Officer, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, were in Brussels the week of May 7 to discuss U.S. data privacy protection and legislation. They met with a number of members of the European Parliament’s Civil Liberties committee, European Union Data Protection Supervisor Peter Hustinx, European Commission Director General for Justice, Freedom and Security Jonathan Faull, and industry experts.
